The language of medical reports and its information-lexical analysis

The objective of the dissertation thesis has been the information-lexical analysis of Czech medical reports and the usability of international classification systems in the Czech healthcare environment. The analysis of medical reports has been based on the attributes of the Minimal Data Model for Cardiology (MDMC). Narrative medical reports and structured medical reports from the ADAMEK software application have been used. For the thesis SNOMED CT and ICD-10 classification systems have been used. There has been compared how well attributes of MDMC are recorded in narrative and structured medical reports. The language analysis of the Czech narrative medical reports has been made. A new application for measuring diversity in medical reports written in any language is proposed. The application is based on the general concepts of diversities derived from f-diversity, relative f- diversity, self f-diversity and marginal f-diversity. The thesis has come to the conclusion that using a free text in medical reports is not consistent and not standardized. The standardized terminology would bring benefits to physicians, patients, administrators, software developers and payers and it would help healthcare providers as it could provide complete and easily accessible information that belongs to the process of...

Rudolf Rosa, Ph.D., Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Abstract: The main goal of this thesis is to create software for modernization of biblical texts with parahprasing on the word level. Next goal is paraphrasing of biblical texts with specific language corpuses and to make biblical text similar to that language, e.g. medical texts. Finally I try to parahprase common texts as poetry, law or some pieces of news to look like parts of the bible. For paraphrasing I will use tools like Word2vec and MorphoDiTa and I will analyze the usefulness for Czech language and especially for biblical texts. Tendencies in the Usage of 'Anglicisms' in Contemporary Czech Media

The bachelor thesis is focused on the occurrence of anglicisms in articles published from 2009 to 2018 in the Czech newspaper, Lidové noviny. The main aim is to distinguish whether the amount of anglicisms used in these articles has increased over the years. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the explanation of the term anglicism, the history of its usage, its assimilation into the Czech language, and the usage of anglicisms in current communication. The introduction into the matter is executed by exploring the global influence of the English language by showing the extent of language borrowings from English. Other word-formation processes are listed alongside to illustrate the significance of lexical borrowing in terms of a language word-stock enrichment. The practical part is based on a research conducted by analyzing articles on the topic of politics in terms of their richness in anglicisms. The research was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods. The aim of the analysis is also to determine whether the usage of a specific anglicism is necessary or whether it could be replaced by synonyms of other than English origin. Working with Synonyms in Teaching of Russian Language at High School

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the usage of synonyms in teaching Russian language at high schools. The theoretical part of this thesis outlines the issues of synonyms and synonymous series from the linguistic (paradigmatic relations, semantics, stylistic) and linguodidactic point of view. The theoretical part also includes the issue of vocabulary from the didactic point of view. Furthermore, in the practical part, the diversity of synonyms used in curriculum of Russian language teaching are evaluated as well as the methods of demonstration and practising of such curriculum. In the final part of this thesis my own concepts for working with synonyms in teaching Russian language at high schools are suggested. Anglicisms in German press

This bachelor thesis has the title "Anglicisms in German press". The aim of this work is a comprehensive analysis of the degree of anglicisms assimilation in contemporary German language (from phonetic-phonological, orthographical and morphological point of views). In the theoretical part I will start from the basic literature considering the issue of accepting foreign words, especially from the English. In the practical part will be concerned with the issue of possible changes in the meaning of Anglicisms and their pragmatic application in German language in comparison with the original. Anglicisms will be excerpted from its own corpus of twenty texts, selected from sections of the German magazine "Bild der Wissenschaft". The data will be subjected to analysis, compared to those in the relevant scholarly works / dictionaries. The work is accompanied by an analysed text corpus.
